We have held the first couple of meetings to decide how best to progress with this project which is kindly being chaired and coordinated by Jim White.
It has been decided that we should begin by updating the village plan. This will be done in such a way as to make it admissible, as a Neighbourhood Plan, if our application to become a Parish Council is approved. NB. Parish Meetings cannot submit a Neighbourhood Plan.
The current village plan can be found at: http://baylham.onesuffolk.net/assets/uploads/Parish-Plan/village-plan.pdf Please take a look and if you have any comments/input then let Jim know. (firstname.lastname@example.org) The first task we will undertake is to map the parish.
This map will include everything within the parish from a buildings, landscape and ecology perspective. It is similar to the mapping service content provided by MSDC on their planning website. This map will then be used, amongst other things, to identify priority areas within the parish that should be kept free from development. It is important to know that this is a democratic exercise and therefore the steering group will present and seek feedback, on a first proposal, at the Parish Meeting in January. So if you have a view, then do come along on the 21st 7.30pm.
